Gateway is composed of a Student Book and a Workbook to ensure that we provide the student with a strong linguistic foundation. It’s designed to provide between 100 and 140 hours of instruction time. The Student Book functions as the main textbook (it’s in color) and introduces the various language topics to the students; the Workbook (black and white) offers the students various practical and creative exercises designed to reinforce the grammatical/conversational topics that have been introduced to the student. Due to the rigor of the grammatical explanations and the creativity of its lessons, Gateway continues to be one of the most successful and popular books in the series.
